Back in Black

  Hi! How have you been? I've missed you!

I am back home now after 3 weeks in Austin Texas. I was away visiting 

my very best friend, she is an amazing artist who designs jewelry and

glass sculpture. It was exciting and inspiring to spend time with her. 

We played in her studio, had Texas adventures, we saw Lyle Lovett in concert 

and I set up her online boutique Les Reves De Poisson. 

There are so many things to see and do in Austin in is one of my favorite places. 

The people are sincerely friendly and the vintage is stupendous! 

I mailed myself some rather large boxes filled with fabulous vintage treasures. 

I cant wait to show you what I found!

“You’ve never seen Cabaret?” Zorian said as he zipped over to Netflix to update the Queue. I soon fell in love with the noir burlesque imagery that followed. Joel Grey being my absolute favorite part of the movie. I still cant get that “Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome” song out of my head.

I'm a bustier and crinoline kinda girl. The sparklier and poofier the better! There is just something about that silhouette.  If you've never worn the two together and your thinking right now....."I could never wear that..."     You could!     You should!     You can!    The best part and probably a side effect of wearing the two together (aside from the fact that it looks amazing) Is it is impossible not to have a good time. It just happens. Like Magic!

I Stud

I showed this bustier to Evander Preston.  He's a jewelry maker and my friend.  He said "you must have the patience of a saint",  it made me smile.  Maybe that's why I love it so much.  It can't be rushed,  it must be delicately yet forcibly done and there is a sense of danger which demands full concentration. Some people knit, some people meditate, I Stud.
