Back in Black

  Hi! How have you been? I've missed you!

I am back home now after 3 weeks in Austin Texas. I was away visiting 

my very best friend, she is an amazing artist who designs jewelry and

glass sculpture. It was exciting and inspiring to spend time with her. 

We played in her studio, had Texas adventures, we saw Lyle Lovett in concert 

and I set up her online boutique Les Reves De Poisson. 

There are so many things to see and do in Austin in is one of my favorite places. 

The people are sincerely friendly and the vintage is stupendous! 

I mailed myself some rather large boxes filled with fabulous vintage treasures. 

I cant wait to show you what I found!

Romantic Militaria

  Inspired by my favorite period films, I created this military jacket.  

  This hand distressed denim jacket has exaggerated fringe epaulets, antique 1800's brass military buttons, vintage Chantilly lace cuffs, studded detailing and velvet filigree accents.

Combat Boots part 2

Here are a few more pictures from the other day. I love this little secret beach at the end of the island. It’s a rock beach sheltered by trees. The water is deep so the dolphins come right up to the edge of the sea. While we were there we paused to watch a pair, mother and baby, glide along the water line.

Combat Boots

I'm not one for flats, I have an unspoken 5 inch and up rule, But I will make an exception when it comes to combat boots. There’s something about tromping around in clunky oversized steel toe boots that I find quite fun. I prefer pairing them with dresses, kind of a visual oxymoron that shouts “Frilly Badass coming threw!”

“You’ve never seen Cabaret?” Zorian said as he zipped over to Netflix to update the Queue. I soon fell in love with the noir burlesque imagery that followed. Joel Grey being my absolute favorite part of the movie. I still cant get that “Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome” song out of my head.
